About Wearc The West Essex Amateur Radio Club was founded by a group of like-minded Hams who are contesting and DX enthusiasts. Not surprisingly, Field Day is the annual club event. In addition to our traditional Field Day activity, several of the club members have had the enviable experience of participating in one or more DXpeditions. The club also hosts, or participates in, local community events. WEARC as an organization believes in the spirit of community service, and community outreach. We directly support, and are affiliated with, Essex County RACES, and some of our members also directly support the Metro region Red Cross. WEARC is also committed to doing our part to help those interested in getting involved in this great hobby we all share. Towards this WEARC has co-sponsored monthly V.E. sessions virtually since the club was incorporated. WEARC welcomes all Hams, short wave radio enthusiasts, and those interested in learning more about the Amateur Radio hobby. Club meetings are open to all whether you are a member or not. To become a full member you must be elected by two-thirds majority of members during a business meeting after showing interest in the club by attending three meetings within a six month period, two of which are business meetings. For those interested in joining, membership is $25 per year.

The club meets on the 2nd floor of the Essex Fells Recreation Building, located on Runnymeade Road next door to the Essex Fells Post Office, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Business meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from September to June. Meeting start time is 8:00pm, but the doors are usually open by 7:30pm.
