Tom Simko, WB2IVM, SK
The West Essex Amateur Radio Club lost one of it's own this past Friday, July 25. Tom Simko succumbed to a fiercely fought long illness. Tom served two terms as President of the Club from 2004 to 2005. He was a ham's ham - enthusiastic about the hobby, always inquisitive, and always supportive of his fellow club members. Tom was a quiet, soft-spoken man who was universally respected and admired. It is a terrible loss for the Club, and we know a far more devastating loss for his young family.
