What We Do
We enjoy talking to the world as well as local friends.
We assist the community during times of emergency as well during public events.
We teach new prospective hams how to become licensed, operate radios and enjoy the hobby.
Members enjoy learning and experimenting with all kinds of new technology.
AND WE HAVE FUN DOING IT!
Operating
The Club schedules many events where Members and Guests are welcome to make round the world contacts with our top of the line equipment. We provide operating procedure training to new hams developing 'on the air' skills. Check the Calendar for events where WEARC will be operating
ON THE AIR
Kit Building
Twice a year we devote a series of meetings to building a kit or homebrew project of your own choosing. Antennas, radios, even LED signs are part of our building fun. We teach new hams how to solder.
Field Day
ARRL Field Day. ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 35,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. WEARC enjoys annual participation in the event.
